About Tone Empire
Built by people who record
Tone Empire exists for one reason: to put the sound of real analog hardware, and ten years of original DSP work, inside every producer's DAW.
The founder
From Bollywood hit records to a residency at Motown in the Capitol Records Building, every Tone Empire plugin comes out of a career spent chasing tone.
Gaurav Dayal went from making beats in India to building plugins in Irvine, California. Along the way came music in an Academy Award-winning film, more than 10 million records sold, and years spent around the vintage gear that built popular music.
Tone Empire grew out of that: the racks, tubes and tape machines heard on those records, captured with neural modeling and original algorithms so they behave in your session the way the hardware behaves in the room.
The road here
Two decades of sound
From India's first beats-and-loops brand to an Oscar-winning soundtrack, a residency at Motown Records and, since 2017, Tone Empire.
The crew
Small team. Big sound.
A few people who make plugins the way a studio makes records.
Navneet Bhatia
A partner for more than 15 years. Runs the online store and makes sure every purchase, license and download just works.
Abhishek Midwal
Keeps builds, releases and support moving. Nothing ships without his sign-off.
Shubham Juyal
Makes the videos and content around every plugin, gets new releases into artists' hands and works with creators and influencers.
How we work
What we believe
Sound is everything
If it doesn't sound like the hardware, it doesn't ship. Every capture is A/B tested against the original gear hundreds of times before release.
Real behavior, not snapshots
Neural engines trained on units in motion: tubes warming, transformers saturating, tape breathing. Alongside them, original algorithms refined over ten years.
Producers first
Prices set for working musicians. Support emails answered personally. A full 15-day trial on every plugin, so you can decide with your ears.
