Beyond Circuit Modeling
Traditional circuit modeling tries to mathematically recreate analog circuits. Neural Q takes a fundamentally different approach — training AI on the actual behavior of real hardware fed with real music (vocals, drums, guitars, full mixes). The result is an EQ that responds dynamically, just like the original, with all the subtle nonlinearities that make analog musical.
- RNN trained on real hardware with real music signals
- Dynamic response — not static mathematical curves
- Captures nonlinearities that circuit models miss
- Responds to your source material like real analog
- V2 retrained models for even closer accuracy
Hardware-Captured EQ Curves
The Hi and Lo bands aren't generic EQ curves — they're the exact frequency response of a famous vintage German equalizer, captured through neural network training. When you boost the highs, you get the same silk and air the original hardware delivers. When you push the lows, you get that legendary weight and warmth. V2 brings retrained models for even closer accuracy.
- Hi/Lo bands captured from legendary German EQ hardware
- Silky high-frequency air — identical to the original
- Warm, weighty lows without mud or boominess
- V2 retrained models for tighter hardware match
- Musical at every setting — from subtle to extreme
Triple Drive Preamp
Three distinct saturation characters from a cinemag transformer-equipped solid-state preamp: Clean for subtle analog warmth on mix bus, Medium for balanced harmonic richness on vocals and guitars, Dirty for aggressive edge on drums and synths. Auto-gain keeps levels consistent as you explore each drive character.
- Clean — subtle analog warmth, perfect for mix bus
- Medium — balanced harmonic enhancement for vocals
- Dirty — aggressive tube character with edge
- Cinemag transformer-equipped preamp capture
- Auto-gain for consistent levels across drive types
Shape Every Source
From silky vocals to aggressive sound design — Neural Q v2 delivers hardware-grade tone shaping on any source
Vocals
Silky EQ shaping with tube-like preamp warmth. The Hi band adds air without harshness, while the drive section brings presence and body.
Drums & Percussion
Punchy low-end boost, crisp high-end detail. Push the drive for saturated overhead character or keep it clean for transparent shaping.
Bass & Synths
Weighty lows without mud, harmonic density from the drive section. The Lo band adds that legendary German EQ weight to any low-end source.
Guitars & Keys
Musical midrange presence with analog character. Medium drive adds harmonic richness that makes guitars and keys sit perfectly in a mix.
Mix Bus
Subtle tonal polish with cohesive analog glue. Clean drive mode adds mix bus warmth while the EQ provides gentle frequency shaping.
Sound Design
Aggressive drive types for creative coloration. Push Dirty mode hard with extreme EQ settings for unique textures and tonal destruction.
Features & Controls
Boosts or cuts high frequencies matching the original vintage German hardware EQ curve. Range: -15dB to +15dB. The response is musical, smooth, and instantly recognizable — the same silk and air that made the original hardware legendary. Whether adding shimmer to vocals or crisp detail to drums, the Hi band delivers authentic analog character.
Boosts or cuts low frequencies in the shape of the captured hardware response. Range: -15dB to +15dB. Warm and weighty without ever getting muddy — the Lo band reproduces the exact low-frequency character of the original German equalizer, adding that legendary weight and depth to any source material.
Drives the input of the neural-captured analog preamp section. More drive means more saturated, harmonically rich signal with authentic tube character. From gentle warming at low settings to full harmonic saturation at higher levels, the drive control puts the entire character of a cinemag transformer preamp at your fingertips.
Three saturation flavors to match any source and intent. Clean: subtle analog warmth — perfect for transparent mix bus processing. Medium: balanced harmonic enhancement that enriches vocals, guitars, and full mixes. Dirty: aggressive tube character with edge, ideal for drums, synths, and creative sound design.
Bypass or activate the preamp saturation module independently from the EQ section. Use Neural Q purely as a hardware-captured EQ, purely as a drive/saturation unit, or both together. This flexibility lets you use exactly the processing you need without unnecessary coloration.
Final output trim after all processing. Range: -24dB to +24dB for precise level matching. Whether you've pushed the drive hard or made significant EQ moves, the output control ensures your signal leaves Neural Q at exactly the right level for proper gain staging in your session.
Automatic gain compensation in the preamp section. Drive harder without volume jumps — Auto Gain intelligently adjusts the output level to match the perceived loudness of the input signal regardless of drive amount. Explore all three drive characters freely without reaching for the output knob.
